Forever Glass promotional film for Saint-Gobain

The client

Saint-Gobain designs, manufactures and distributes high-performance construction materials. It offers innovative solutions for building, transportation, infrastructure and industrial applications. With a presence in 75 countries and over 167,000 employees, Saint-Gobain is a global leader in the sustainable development and construction markets, consistently delivering products that enhance the well-being of people and the planet.

The project

Saint-Gobain asked us to create a short summary video that showcased the breadth of its work and the success of its ‘Glass Forever’ initiative. It wanted to use the video to educate its audience on the programme’s importance and its notable achievements to date while highlighting opportunities for involvement in pre- and post-consumer cullet collection, as the initiative’s long-term success rests on active engagement from its customer base. It was important to articulate the complex story in a brief and engaging way to get the key points across in an easily digestible format.

Our solution

We created three key assets for this project – a 16:9 (widescreen) main film for presentations and smaller 9:16 and 1:1 versions for social media use. We captured the footage during five film shoots, involving interviews with key spokespeople, drone footage and general filming. We also used additional footage from three previous shoots, which we’d captured over three years during earlier work for Saint-Gobain.

Once we’d captured all the content, we edited and coloured it to ensure consistency, mixing footage from seven makes of cameras and three makes of drones. We also added animated title graphics to make the video on-brand and engaging.

The impact

The video made its debut at a Saint-Gobain Glass customer event, receiving widespread praise.

Subsequently, it was shared with a broader audience on LinkedIn, generating a wealth of positive commentary about the Glass Forever programme and how to get involved.

Saint-Gobain are now using the film in presentations and pitches to showcase the value and impact of the Glass Forever recycling intiative.

Working with Carl and the team at VisualEyes, the video involved shooting across multiple locations to capture different parts of the Glass Forever story. From factories to active building sites, VisualEyes responded to our content requirements with enthusiasm, bringing their expertise to help capture content efficiently while creating a final product that was highly engaging and impactful.

“Carl demonstrated exceptional responsiveness and agility at every project stage, from on-site filming to final video edits.

“As a client, we had a clear vision for the story we wished to convey, and Carl collaborated with us to refine the content and shape it into a dynamic video. The result has been widely praised by our customers and colleagues in the UK and France, showcasing Carl’s ability to bring our narrative to life with creativity and precision.”
